Activity

Plant a seed in a bag and observe it as it grows through the different stages of a plant's life cycle. Soak bean seeds overnight, then drain them before placing the seeds in a ziploc bag along with a damp paper towel. Place the sealed seed bag in natural light. Within days, seeds will begin to sprout, and within a couple of weeks, you should notice leaves, indicating your seed is ready to be planted in soil. Children can observe the seed and draw or write about the changes they notice.
